The andhra pradesh public service commission starts recruiting for the state service commission since 1st november, 1956. It is very popular as APPSC (Andhra pradesh state service commission) now temporarily located at hyderabad union capital of telugu states. After formation the andhra pradesh it was functioned with nine chairman’s. Earlier years APPSC functioned based on madras public service commission, later it was formed APPSC. Andhra pradesh state service commission conducts various recruitment examinations. It had different groups based on the levels of posts. In the APPSC there are 4 different exams are their. Group1, Group2, Group3, Group4 are the main stream exams in the AP state commission.
Preliminary Examination – This is the qualifying test for the written test for the Group 1 examination. Stage II:
Main Examination – This is the mains and it is written test for the interview round. Stage III:
Personality Test (Interview) – It is the final test
Group I Exam Eligibility Details :
Andhra pradesh public commission group I eligibility conditions are given below.
Education Qualification :
Bachelor degree from the recognized university
Age Limit : 21 – 42 years. SC/ST/BC/BT candidates are some extensible according to reservation.
Preliminary Exam :
This is the objective type exam and the exam will be contains general studies, mental ability. It has two hours and half an hour time and the it has 150 questions. The preliminary exam is qualified candidates are shortlisted for the main examination.
Main Examination :
Main examination having five papers and the papers are paper I, paper II, paper III, paper IV, paper V and one general English paper. The general English paper is compulsory qualified paper. The nature paper is testing the candidate written proficiency and comprehensive abilities in English.
The selected candidates who are in the merit list in the previous stages of examinations they are shortlisted by the commission. The selection process will be in the ratio of 1:2. In the interview also there is a qualified marks. Even though the candidate have merit list they also have to score minimum 75 marks. The final selection will be based on complete score in the preliminary, mains and interview.

PAPER II : History of social and cultural heritage of India – 150 marks
PAPER III : Indian economy – 150 marks
