Telangana state public service commission is the new public service commission in India. After formation as the youngest state in the year of 2014, it starts recruiting in various civil departments in the public administration. Earlier it was ruled by the Nizams, at the time they had recruiting under the Hyderabad public service commission. It is in the model of British provincial public service commission. But now it is completely under the constitution of Telangana state public service commission.

Eligibility Criteria for TSPSC:

Educational Qualification: Bachelor degree from a recognized university.
Age Limit: 18 – 44 years
Age Relaxation: for SC/ ST/BC candidates 5 years and PWD candidates for 10 years


Stage I:
Preliminary Examination – This is the qualifying test for the written test for the Group 1 examination.
Stage II:
Main Examination – This is the mains and it is a written test for the interview round.
Stage III:
Personality Test (Interview) – It is the final test

Group I exam eligibility details :

Preliminary Exam :
this is the objective type exam and the exam will contain general studies, mental ability. It has two hours and half an hour time and it has 150 questions. The preliminary exam is qualified candidates are shortlisted for the main examination.

Main Examination :
The main examination having five papers and the papers are paper I, paper II, paper III, paper IV, paper V and one general English paper. The general English paper is compulsory qualified paper. The nature paper is testing the candidate written proficiency and comprehensive abilities in English.

Interview :
The selected candidates who are in the merit list in the previous stages of examinations they are shortlisted by the commission. The selection process will be in the ratio of 1:2. In the interview also there is a qualified mark. Even though the candidate has merit list they also have to score minimum 75 marks. The final selection will be based on the complete score in the preliminary, mains and interview.

Main examination (written exam):

General English paper for everyone – 150 marks
PAPER I: general essay – 150 marks
PAPER II: a history of a social and cultural heritage of India(section I and II) – 150 marks
PAPER III: Indian economy(section I and II) – 150 marks
PAPER IV: science and technology in the development of India – 150 marks
PAPER V: Data interpretation and Problem solving – 150 marks
PAPER VI: Telangana Movement

Interview: 75 marks

Total: 825 marks
